Water Sports and Activities at the Sand Hollow Reservoir:
Sand Hollow Reservoir is right across the street from Sand Hollow Resort. The reservoir features 1,000 acres of water surface for you to play on. Everyone can find something exciting to do at the reservoir, from relaxing family fishing trips to water skiing and even scuba diving.
Hiking at Toquerville Falls:
Rent an ATV for the day and head over to Toquerville Falls. The drive to the trail head may be a bit rocky, but it’s worth it after you take the 3-mile hike up to the falls. Once you reach the falls, you’ll be able to enjoy the clear waters and beautiful scenery. Toquerville Falls is a stunning hidden gem in the middle of the desert.
St. George Dinosaur Discovery at Johnson Farm:
Johnson Farm’s Dinosaur Discovery is excellent for dinosaur lovers, both young and old. Explore fossils and dinosaur footprints from the Jurassic Era lake bed. The building at St. George Dinosaur Discovery was built right over dinosaur tracks, so you can immerse yourself in Utah’s Jurassic Era dinosaur history while you take a tour of the museum.
Explore the Sand Mountain Dunes on a UTV:
The Sand Mountain Dunes offer families and adventurers alike an opportunity to explore the wide-open sands on a UTV. The kids will love finding dinosaur tracks and natural formations along the way. Explore the dunes on your own or on a guided tour.
Zion National Park:
Explore the same paths walked by ancient natives while you take in the sights and sounds of Zion National Park. Just a short 35-minute drive from Sand Hollow Resort, Zion National Park boasts some of the most spectacular views of the sandstone cliffs.
Zion National Park’s hiking trails include paved accessible trails, moderate trails for hikers looking for a good workout, and challenging trails for experienced hikers and rock climbers. If hiking isn’t your thing and you would rather stay in your car, you can drive through Kolob Canyon and enjoy spectacular views of the park.
