While staying with us, recreational activities such as golfing, hiking, pickleball, and mountain biking are at your fingertips. Sand Hollow Resort is known for its central location to state and national parks. If you are considering exploring the beautiful Southern Utah desert, here are some of our favorite things to keep you and the crew busy on your spring vacation!

Swimming

All of the pools at Sand Hollow Resort are heated! Spring in Southern Utah can be chilly in the evening hours and even during the day. The pool is an excellent place for you and your entire family to hang out! Everyone can enjoy pool aerobics, water games, and simply just basking in the sunshine poolside. Take advantage of an opportunity to put on your favorite bathing suit and dive in!

OHV Trails & Rentals

If you and your family get excited about winding dirt roads and 4X4 vehicles, this location is fantastic! There are countless trails accessible directly from Sand Hollow Resort. We are conveniently located less than a mile from the entrance to trails in all directions. If you want to avoid traveling with your equipment or have none, check out Mad Moose Rentals just up the street from the resort! They are the best spot to rent anything from jetskis to ATVs. If you don’t know which direction to go, consider one of their private tours to get an exclusive local look into the desert backroads!

Book a Tee Time

Spring is the best time to book an afternoon tee time because Southern Utah’s summer heat is so extreme. Our award-winning golf course is a must-see on your next vacation! The Sand Hollow Resort Champion Golf Course has been consistently ranked as one of Golfweek’s “Top 100 Resort Courses” since 2011. We offer lessons if you are a new golfer just picking up a hobby or an experienced player honing your swing. Take advantage of the pro shop located at the clubhouse for all of your golf needs! We’ll see you on the green!

Explore National & State Parks

Sand Hollow Resort is conveniently located within two hours of State and National Parks. Zion National Park is just an hour’s drive from the resort. Zion National Park features breathtaking views, hikes, and other activities. Bryce Canyon National Park is about two hours away. To get to Bryce Canyon, you can take State Road 9 through Zion National Park and continue to Mr. Carmel Junction to Highway 89 and then State Road 12 to the park.

Sand Hollow State Park is located across the street from the resort. If you’re brave enough, enjoy boating, swimming, and even cliff jumping! One side of the lake is rocky, while the other is sandy, like a beach. Both areas are perfect for swimming and enjoying the water and view! Snow Canyon State Park is located in the nearby town of St. George, off State Road 18. This state park has plenty of hikes with a range of difficulties. Hikes such as Jenny’s canyon or The Overlook are easy hikes for anyone to enjoy!
