Sand Hollow’s Championship Course Makes List of Top Public Courses

(December 20, 2021 Hurricane, Utah) — For the first time, Sand Hollow Resort’s Championship Course was named one of Golfweek’s “Top 100 Public Golf Courses,” ranking 53rd. This esteemed list consists of golf courses that are available for the public to access.

The Championship Course has consistently earned national and local recognition, including ranking first on Golf Magazine’s “Best Utah Golf Courses”; 56th on Golfweek’s 2019 “Top 100 Courses You Can Play”; 41st on Golfweek’s “Top 100 Resort Courses”; and most recently, 155th on Golfweek’s “Top 200 Modern Golf Courses.” However, this is its first appearance on what is considered one of the most prestigious rankings.

“Ranking as a top public course is a huge milestone,” stated Adam Jasperson, General Manager, Operations. “With nearly 3,000 public courses in the U.S., The Championship Course is now among an extremely elite group.”

Golfweek’s rankings are determined by members of a course-ratings panel that continually evaluates courses and rates them based on ten criteria. The overall ratings on each course are averaged to produce a final rating. Each course is then ranked against other courses, on a national level, to produce the final rankings.

“We are thrilled to be included on this list,” stated Robert Roche, co-owner of Sand Hollow Resort and President of Roche Enterprises. “I am extremely proud of the Sand Hollow team, who work tirelessly to maintain the course and ensure that golfers have an unsurpassed golf experience. If you haven’t experienced the challenging course and breathtaking views, it’s definitely worth a trip to Utah.”
