Sand Hollow Resort sponsored a charity golf event for The Community Soup Kitchen, a division of Switchpoint Community Resource Center, on May 21. The annual event raised $28,000 for the non-profit organization that serves the needy in Washington County by easing the burden of hunger for the working poor, students, elderly, and the homeless. In addition to preparing 40,000 meals a year, Switchpoint offers lodging and housing assistance, counseling, hygiene resources, and job placement assistance.

“We have helped raise more than $76,000 over the four years we have sponsored this event,” commented Adam Jasperson, General Manager, Sand Hollow Resort Operations. “We are always happy to provide our award-winning Championship course as the breathtaking setting for this worthwhile event.” Throughout the year, Sand Hollow employees also volunteer their time to help prepare and serve meals at the Soup Kitchen.

Robert Roche, President of Roche Enterprises, the parent company of Sand Hollow Resort stated, “Giving back to the communities we serve is a critical part of our mission, and we are proud to support The Community Soup Kitchen in their effort to help the most vulnerable citizens of Washington County.” Roche’s long history of generous philanthropic endeavors focus on improving communities, education, and international relations.
